Our Custom Socks division has grown rapidly, creating unique, branded socks for schools, businesses, sports teams, and events. To unlock the next level of growth, we're establishing a Custom Socks Sales Manager role.
Overview
------------
The Custom Socks Sales Manager is responsible for driving new business, building strong client relationships, and managing the full custom process from initial outreach to final delivery. This role acts as the key link between clients, our in-house designers, and production.
Success in this role relies on:
Proactive sales hunting
Strong relationship building
Excellent communication
Tight coordination with designers
Efficient management of timelines and workflow
You will be measured on new client acquisition, repeat orders, pipeline health, client satisfaction, and your ability to keep projects moving at speed.
Key Responsibilities
------------------------
1. Client Acquisition & Sales Growth
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across schools, corporates, sports clubs, events, and organisations.
Conduct physical sales meetings, virtual calls, and targeted outreach to present the Versus Custom offering.
Deliver weekly KPIs for outreach, calls, meetings, and proposals.
Work strategically to convert warm leads and reactivate dormant clients.
2. Client Account Management
Build strong, long-term client relationships through consistent communication and exceptional service.
Follow up with previous clients to secure repeat orders and grow account value.
Reactivate inactive clients with personalised proposals.
Manage expectations around timelines, pricing, and design requirements.
3. Collaboration With Designers
Work closely with our in-house Custom Designers daily.
Coordinate workload and align deliverables with client expectations.
Act as the bridge between client needs and production realities.
4. Reporting & Pipeline Management
Track and update all leads, clients, and sales progress in our CRM/pipeline tools.
Report weekly on:
+ Outreach numbers
+ Meetings booked
+ Deals closed
+ Pipeline health
+ Revenue generated
Provide insights on pricing, market trends, and customer feedback.
KPIs & Performance Measurement

Skills & Attributes
------------------------
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4-5 years experience in sales, account management, or client-facing roles.
Self-motivated with a strong hunter mentality.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to set expectations clearly and manage demanding clients professionally.
Creative thinker who can collaborate effectively with designers.
Target-driven with a proven ability to deliver results.
Attention to detail and strong follow-through.
