Cross Border Controller Report to: Operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand & process Road Freight shipment requests and execute such request expertly.
Arrange bookings with the most qualified & cost-efficient transport supplier based on customer requirements.
Register shipments on CW1 promptly.
Process shipping documentation efficiently for customs clearance.
Ensure accurate storage of shipping documents on e-DOCS.
Manage billing and maintain GP margins.
Co-ordinate movement of cargo within stipulated time frames.
Manage all parties in the supply chain.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
Prepare specific customer reports as required.
Support negotiation & maintenance of supplier rates and contracts.
Receive, accept, and book transport orders timely.
Follow up on acquittals and PODs.
Arrange collection and packing of customer cargo.
Invoice shipments accurately.
Produce thorough and accurate documentation ensuring compliance.
Identify Hazardous Cargo and ensure correct transport regime.
Follow up on Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Requirements:

Regulation knowledge in Local Customs, Destination Country Customs & Road Transport requirements.
CCO Certification on CW1.
Customer focus, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, planning, organizing, time management skills.
Matric qualification.
3-5 years related experience.

Skills: Cross Border Controller, Road Freight, Co-ordination, control, planning, and management in cross-border transportation.
