Creditors Clerk X 2 Positions, Finance Department (internal Applicants Only)

Job Description

  • Prepare documents for accurate and timeous payments.
  • Resolve all queries with regard to outstanding payments.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timeous payments.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12) - Preferably with Accounting/Mathematics as subjects.
  • Two (2) years relevant experience in accounts payable or relevant accounting/finance experience.
  • Computer skills - especially MS Excel.
  • Proficiency in an ERP system/accounting software.
Recommendations:
  • A National Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (3-year qualification - NQF 6/7).
  • Experience in a higher education environment.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of the ITS system.
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
  • Prepare creditors payments.
  • Process invoices/credit notes on ITS.
  • Reconcile creditors manageraccounts: Prepare Excel reconciliation.
  • Preparing year end accrual journals and supporting documentation.
  • Communication: Liaise with end users and suppliers on outstanding invoices/credit notes.
  • Prepare annual accruals listing.
  • Perform other ad hoc functions as may be assigned by your line.
