Creditors Clerk

Job Description
Contract role for an immediately available Creditors Clerk is available. The role is based in Stellenbosch and will run for three months. If you have gained solid experience in this area and are immediately available, please reach out and let's have a chat
Responsibilities:
- Capturing and posting of vendor invoices within required deadlines ensuring all invoices are valid and submitted for approval
- Creation of vendors according to the Procurement Policy
- Monthly reconciliation of significant and material vendor balances
- Ensure all payments are matched to invoices where applicable
- Attend to all vendor queries
- Implement the PO process as per Procurement Policy
- Issuing of POs as per Procurement Policy
- Request Service Completion Certificates where relevant
- Support BEE reporting for procurement spend
- Capture and post all bank transactions, including credit cards
- Capture and create monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with all administrative banking communication requirements
- Loading of new beneficiaries and invoices due for payment on online banking portal
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports as required
- Support statutory and other audit requests
- Adhere to the Information Security Management System policies and procedures
- Matric qualification with Maths or Accounting Diploma
- 2 - 3 years' experience in a financial role
- Strong MS Office and MS Excel knowledge
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting and VAT principles
- Experience in working with cloud-based accounting software
