As a Creditors Clerk at Seriti Green, you'll be at the heart of our renewable energy mission in South Africa. In this role, you'll wield your financial expertise to ensure the seamless flow of resources to our sustainable projects. Your meticulous attention to detail will shine as you process invoices, manage expenses, and cultivate strong relationships with our valued suppliers. Beyond the numbers, you'll play a vital role in compliance, working together with your colleagues in our finance team to keep our financial records in line with local legislation and regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
Capturing and processing approved invoices, ensuring compliance with local laws and requirements, for example VAT and WHT, for payment, generating bi-weekly payment reports
Capturing bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations at month end
Capturing of senior management's expense claims
Assist with providing support during annual audits and ensuring audit folders are up to date prior to audit
Maintain and update contract databases
Reconciliation of payables and other general accounts
Develop and maintain filing system (invoices, expense claims, company contracts) for Seriti Green Asset Management
Essential Skills

Education & Experience
Degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of experience in a clerk role, preferably in the renewable energy sector
Proficiency in using accounting software such as Pastel, Sage Accounting and Oracle NetSuite for invoice processing and financial reporting
Understanding of South African tax regulations and their implications on accounts payable
Must have your own vehicle
