Introduction
Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity for a Credit Controller: National Credit to join the finance department at their head office in Germiston. The preffered candidate should have a 2-3 years diploma in finance with 4 years experience in the full scope of financial accounting.
Qualification

• 2 - 3 Years Diploma in Finance (NQF 5/NQF6)
• Degree NQF 7 (an advantage)
• A certificate in credit management would be preferable

Experience

• A minimum of 4 years' working experience in the full scope of Financial Accounting

• MS Excel: Advanced
• MS Word: Intermediate
• SAP

Knowledge requirements

• ICM - Institute of Credit Management Certificate

Summary description of role:
Discipline/business process: * Foreign Debtors,

• Stays abreast of financial policies & procedures relating to accounts receivable & SOX requirements
• Executes daily bank reconciliations for foreign debtors (transfer accounts - all receivables)
• Controls UCR and BOP codes required by the Reserve Bank (foreign debtors - reserve bank reference nrs) - equipment sales and inter-companies
• Monitoring correctness of customer accounts
• Monitoring that the account remains within terms
• Monitoring that funds are allocated as per customer remittance
• Prints standard financial reports at the month end

• Equipment Sales Credit Control

• Stays abreast of financial policies & procedures relating to equipment credit control and SOX requirements
• Monitors payment terms for units/equipment
• Allocates payments for Inter Company Accounts
• Raises internal Transfer Forms with supporting documentation for foreign gains/losses or small write-offs for settlement of discounts where applicable Checks sales commissions on machine sales against accounts to ensure payments have been received in full
• Monitors and Updates Equipment Collection report daily Contacts Branches telephonically to resolve outstanding issues
• Prints monthly statements
• Prints monthly Age Analysis
• Prints and disseminates monthly forecast of Equipment collection report
• Cash flow monitoring

• Monitors collections
• Reconciles the following accounts monthly sundries account, suspense account, rental accounts, debtors transfer account
• Follows-up with branches regarding forecasts
• Monitors terms for equipment sales
• Files all FI invoices and Credit Notes processed by other departments
• Keeps record of equipment sales not yet paid
• Compiles and prints National Forecast Report for Parts/Service & Equipment
• Orders on hold (parts and WIP)

• Performs manual release for SD (parts) and CS(WIP)
• Drafts standard financial reports at month-end
• Legal Debtors

• Processes accounts for handovers for legal action
• Monitors legal fees
• Drafts standard financial reports at month-end
