Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage rent arrears across all active tenancy accounts.
• Contact tenants via phone, email, and written correspondence to ensure promt payment.
• Set up and manage payment plans where appropriate and sensure compliance with agreed terms.
• Liaise with property managers, and external partners to resolve account issues.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on outstanding debts, cash collections, and risk accounts.
• Initiate and manage legal proceedings for debt recovery when necessary, inluding liaison with legal teams and courts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our property management and accounting systems.
• Continuously review and improve credit control processes and policies to enhance efficiency.

Minimum requirements
Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Real Estate, Sales or Property Management would be advantageous.

Skills/Core Competencies

• Strong understanding of rent collection and tenancy legislation (desirable).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting/property management softeware.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload effectively.
