A global leader in optical technology and innovation is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their Finance team. This is a critical role responsible for managing customer accounts, minimizing credit risk, and ensuring healthy cash flow for the business.
As the Credit Controller you will responsible for the following:
- Manage customer credit accounts and monitor outstanding debts
- Proactively follow up on overdue invoices via phone and email
- Assess credit applications and set credit limits in line with company policy
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve account queries
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment arrangements
- Prepare aged debt reports and support month-end closing activities
- Recommend accounts for escalation or legal action when necessary
Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role
Strong communication and negotiation skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Knowledge of financial regulations and credit risk principles
