RESPONSIBILITIES

End to end responsibility for the entire accounts receivable process

Calling and e-mailing customers chasing for payments (and administering the group collections process)

Logging reasons for non-payment and promises to pay

Keep sales staff updated on customer payment performance and working together to utilise GUM-TREE's leverage to bring in payments

Working with other departments where necessary (e.g. Sales, Service Delivery, Billing) to drive customer issues preventing payment to a resolution - and owning these issues

Ad-hoc activities as required to help to manage the group's credit management and credit risk position (e.g. reporting and analysis, recommending process improvements, credit limit review)

Negotiating payment plans as necessary with customers

Provide a full and complete case history for review of the next stages

EXPERIENCE

Essential:

Have experience working in the tech sector or other similarly fast-paced industry

Must have experience working on aged debt projects within a B2B environment

Cash collection, direct debit coverage, outbound call targets, managing own ledger portfolio

Desirable:

Defined credit policies and processes

Experience implementing collections strategy

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

Intermediate Excel & Finance general ledger systems

Outstanding customer service skills

Self-motivated and strong work ethic

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable:

Oracle NetSuite ERP and/or Salesforce skills

CICM qualified (Chartered Institute of Credit Management)
