Objective of the job:

To assess credit applications received while adhering to DTFS SA prescribed credit policies and risk parameters. Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealer network, internal and external customers and ensuring superior service is always maintained. To support the company strategy of achieving projected operating plan and sales targets without compromising risk to the organisaion. To be compliant to the Company's Integrity and Anti-bribery Codes, Conflict of interest Policy, Anti- Trust, Anti Money laundering policies as well as all legislative requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

xc2xb7 Knowledge in:

o Credit lending principles in Corporate and Commercial Vehicles environment

o Relevant legislation including, but not limited to NCA, FICA, POPIA, etc.

o Problem Solving and Negotiation

o Written and verbal communication

o Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)

Outputs

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

xc2xb7 Assess, analyse, evaluate and recommend a course of action for credit applications, based on customer financial data, including payment history, proof of income, financial analysis with interpretation and bank statements. Any other supporting documentation. Making decisions/recommendation within prescribed policies and authority limits.

xc2xb7 Provide input and recommendations on process optimisation and system enhancements within the department.

xc2xb7 Compile and analyse profit & loss and balance sheet to conduct sufficient trends and ratio analysis.

xc2xb7 Consult with management when needed and make recommendations on policy exceptions and control weaknesses to ensure that findings are correct.

xc2xb7 Perform periodic credit reviews to identify potential risks or opportunities.

xc2xb7 Create reports for management with viable recommendations for improvement of business operations, efficiencies, and internal controls.

xc2xb7 Coach, mentor, and assist fellow team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, and compliance to departmental standards and internal controls.

xc2xb7 Identify underwriting and funding weaknesses, address areas of non-compliance, and recommend change when necessary.

xc2xb7 Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, sales representatives, clients, internal stakeholders, and credit reporting agencies.

xc2xb7 Engage and inputs to industry related topics in line with various trends and statistical information.

xc2xb7 Collaborating closely with the sales and finance teams, you will ensure effective credit management practices are in place and work towards minimizing potential credit losses.

xc2xb7 Resolve queries ensure the delivery of excellent service levels.

xc2xb7 Ensure effective management of projects.

xc2xb7 Analyse and provide inputs to transportation industry policies and procedures.

xc2xb7 Contribute and input in postmortem discussions, system enhancements and the optimization of processes.

xc2xb7 Contribute to updates, monthly portfolio/statistics reviews.

xc2xb7 Ensure inter-departmental interaction take place and provide feedback accordingly.
