Key Performance Areas Marketing

1. Support marketing strategist in the co-ordination of h1 and h2 summits

2. In-store inspection and information gathering for product & marketing on a quarterly basis

3. Support the marketing strategist in the roll out specific elements of soft lines and hard lines campaigns and photoshoots for retailer and licensee campaigns

4. Assisting with marketing samples, administrative requirements and follow ups

Specific duties and responsibilities - marketing

1. Support marketing strategist in the co-ordination of h1 and h2 summits:

  • Source gifts in line with the objectives for each summit ensuring that gifting is within budget and three quotations are presented for approval.
  • Brief in design and creative of the gift as directed by Marketing Strategist
  • Manage courier in line with the Summit dates and deadlines.
  • Download templates, sizzles and other assets required.
  • Provide support to each department on elements within the project, under the management of the Marketing Strategist.
2. In-store inspection and information gathering for product & marketing on a quarterly basis
  • Under the management of the Marketing Strategist, compile information and images in a document from retailer visits.
3. Support the marketing strategist in the roll out specific elements of soft lines and hard lines campaigns and photoshoots for retailer and licensee campaigns
  • Based on the brief supplied by the Marketing Strategist, brainstorm, research and gather ideas and information for each retailer and licensee campaign.
  • Based on the approved campaign proposal, source each element with 3 x quotes, track the retailer and licensee budget and book the relevant supplier once approval has been given.
  • Support on Photoshoots by sourcing Props & Dxc3xa9cor in line with the brief and brand requirements, as well as refreshments and other items required at the shoot.
  • Manage the agenda on the photoshoot day, taking direction from the Marketing Strategist and Creative Manager.
  • Upload marketing materials to Brand Comply for approval by the Regional Mattel Marcomms team. Manage the deadlines and feedback process under the management of the PR & Social Media Strategist.
  • Each Quarter, Compile Campaign Reports for Hard Lines and Soft Lines using information given by the Business Managers and Marketing Strategist.
  • Assist with Ad Hoc campaigns, promotions, and activations for existing Business.
  • Assist with Ad Hoc new business pitches as directed by the Marketing Strategist.
4. Assisting with marketing samples, administrative requirements and follow ups
  • Work with licensees to order samples required for Soft Lines Campaigns, Update the sample document on an on-going basis and Manage Marketing Samples in the storeroom. Pack and send out samples once a week from the BHL storeroom.
  • Updating marketing documents and guidelines for licensees and retailers. Share best practice, reports, and ad hoc documents in line with the Licensee and Retailer strategy from the Marketing Strategist.
  • Follow up with Retailers, Licensees and Mattel local and regional teams on outstanding information, as directed by the Marketing Strategist.
  • Update marketing contacts and supplier details on the BHL Contact List, and the online newsletter platform, Everlytic.

1. Accurate record keeping and administration
  • Manage Mattel asset organization, by ensuring all assets are downloaded from MAM and saved on the BHL server.
  • Keep accurate and up to date electronic records on the BHL server of all items submitted by licensees together with any other related communication.
  • Ensure all creative updates are documented on ZOHO on a regular basis to ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Monitor completion of NDA forms where necessary and submission to Mattel.
  • Co-ordination of Hard Lines product submissions at the various approval stages by ensuring to update Hardlines tracking documents.
  • Upload all new product submissions that come into Brand Comply onto Zoho and the Product Summary Slides, as per list sent through by Creative Manager and Creative Designer.
2. Assisting with creative requirements
  • Manage and pull together Internal Birthday Cards for the BHL Team.
  • Assist Creative Designer with pulling together product or inspiration as requested by the Business Team for existing and new business.
  • Pull together a Brand Comply report focusing on categories suggested by the Business, Creative and Marketing team and what is happening globally.
  • Complete a document of images and information specific to the Creative Department to share back with the creative team as required.
3. Communication with Mattel/HIT, licensees and DTR suppliers
  • Following up with licensees to ensure Hard lines product are uploaded at the various stages on Brand Comply and update the Creative Designer.
  • Under the management of the Creative Designer manage administrative duties with our DTR partners. This will include uploading submissions to Mattel portals and asset management.
  • Managing open file requests from Licensees
  • Ensure Licensees receive MAM & Brand Comply access to access the necessary style guides and upload for approvals
4. Management of creative samples
  • Regular visits to the storeroom and working with the Storeroom Administrator, ensure that bulk samples are received.
  • Capturing bulk samples received on Zoho.
  • Quarterly follow ups with Licensees on outstanding samples based on Zoho report provided by the Finance department.
5. Administration of the product integrity process on hard lines and soft lines
  • Understand the Mattel/HIT PI process including reporting lines, submission documentation and guideline documentation in place from Mattel/HIT.
  • Under the management of the Creative Designer, liaise with Licensees, ensuring that clear instruction has been given in terms of the PI process.
  • Working with the Creative Designer and the Mattel quality engineer ensure that documentation is tracked, communicated to licensees, and received timeously.
  • Work with Mattel/HIT PI ensuring that all requirements in terms of PI have been sent and approved.
  • 1 - 3 years Industry experience (either marketing, creative, retail)
  • Marketing/ Creative Diploma
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Teams)
