Cost Accountant
Job Description
A leading and renowned company based in the Worcester that focuses on the cultivation, packing and exporting of table grapes, is looking for a high performing Cost Accountant to join their vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience within a similar role.
You will be responsible for:
Responsible for accurate costing for farming and packing operations
Perform cost analysis and reporting for farming and packing operations
Montro and analyse inventory variances production inefficiencies and wastage
Product costing and inventory reporting and maintenance
Inventory management
Collaborate with the production and finance team to develop and implement cost control measures
Support the budgeting process ad financial planning
Dily / weekly reporting (Productivity)
Asset with the roll-out and implement of new systems
Provide general support to the Financial Manager
Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
Bachelor Degree in B. Com / B.Compt / B,Acc (Financial Accounting / Cost & Management Accounting)
Completed SAICA / SAIPA Articles will be adv
4 - 5 Years accounting experience with forex will be adv.
MS Office (Advanced Excel), with experience in ERP systems and BOM
Own reliable transport
Skills:
Good communication skills and able to work well with a diverse team (Afrikaans & English)
Deadline orientated and work well under pressure
Ability to multi task and have strong time management skills
Attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent people skills
Innovative; Analytical; Conceptual Thinking
Work independently and as part of a team
Very high level of accuracy in all work-related matters
