Cost Accountant

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain product costing on Sage X3
- Keep a sharp eye on overheads, labour costs and production variances
- Identify inefficiencies and propose cost-saving solutions
- Dive deep into BOMs, routings, stock and WIP reconciliation
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, Planning and Procurement to keep everyone aligned
- Drive accurate reporting -- from monthly management accounts to sales and margin analysis
- Be at the heart of budgeting, capex proposals and investment planning for production
- Solid experience as a Cost Accountant, System Cost Analyst or similar
- Proven success within a manufacturing environment (non-negotiable)
- Comfortable being on the factory floor -- where the action happens
- Strong knowledge of Sage X3, CaseWare and Excel
- Analytical thinker with sharp attention to detail
- Ability to read technical drawings is advantageous
- BCom in Management Accounting is a plus
