As the Cost Accountant you will be responsible for the below:
- Manage standard costs with procurement and operations, adjusting for new products.
- Ensure accurate bill of materials input, submit weekly factory performance reports, and review open orders.
- Handle month-end tasks, actively manage daily variances with the cost analyst, and report on material variances monthly.
- Support the department heads in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure transparency in costs for major decisions, investigate expenditures, monitor internal controls, and identify cost improvement opportunities.
- Reconcile inventory and fixed assets, participate in stock takes, and provide ongoing guidance to the cost analyst.
- Completed Diploma in Costing or completed CIMA.
- 5+ yearsxe2x80x99 experience in an FMCG role in finance.
