Meyersdal, Johannesburg: CANDIDATE ATTORNEY
Minimum Requirements:
-Presentable and professional B-BBEE (black) male or female (As per firm’s BEE requirements)
-Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree completed a must
-Strong academic marks and reasonable knowledge of Civil procedure
-Valid driver’s license a must
-Good drafting, communication and organisational skills
-Computer literate in MS Office
-Currently residing in Johannesburg or Ekurhuleni area a must (within daily commuting distance from Meyersdal/Alberton)
-Must be willing to serve 2 years articles duration
-To start as soon as possible
Duties:
-General candidate attorney duties for law firm, attending to Civil Litigation procedures
-Travelling to Court, attend court appearances and consultations with clients and counsel
-Prepare trial bundles, court files and briefing notes for counsel
-Conduct legal research
-Draft and prepare applications, pleadings and notices
-Professional liaison with clients, advocates, correspondents, sheriffs and opposing attorneys
-Ensure compliance with court rules, practice directives, and litigation timelines
-Contribute to firm's commitment to delivering high-quality legal services
Salary: R 10 000.00 gross
