Job Description

Copywriting:




Writing engaging copy that authentically represents the station's brand while speaking directly to our youth audience. Working closely with our sales team and clients to understand campaign goals, creating tailor-made commercial concepts that resonate with young listeners. Collaborating with our programming, sales and marketing teams to conceive and craft captivating scripts for spots, promotions, imaging, and other on-air content. Editing and proofreading copy meticulously, maintaining high standards of grammar and tone. Adapting your writing style to align with different segments of our diverse youth demographic Staying ahead of the curve on youth culture, trends and language nuances to ensure our content remains fresh and relatable. Contributing ideas and creative solutions during brainstorming sessions and team discussions. Carrying out any other reasonable tasks as directed by manager.



Commercial Scripts:




Having a clear understanding of commercial campaign goals and objectives Conducting necessary research on clients brand/product/event in-order to write specialized scripts that resonate with the target audience. Ensuring each script is completed within a 2-3hr turnaround time Increase in response rate in call-to-action or lead generation campaigns Ensuring consistency of copy/messaging across all campaign elements and flagging any discrepancies Collaborating with the sales and CS teams to ensure script perfection Ensuring broadcasting regulations and guidelines are adhered to



Station and Show Imaging:




Collaborating with the production supervisor to conceive a yearly imaging calendar relevant to the stations audience Producing script copy for calendar events/campaigns at least a month in advance Collaborating with on-air teams on scripting show imaging at least a month before the launch of each new line up Ensuring the brand's positive image is maintained in all copy.


Qualifications:




Bachelors Degree (3 years - 360 credits) - Journalism/ Communications/ Media Studies/ English - Essential



Experience:



Radio/Journalism/Creative Writing - 3 years - Essential




Competencies:




Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Intermediate English - Advanced
