The Role

The purpose of a Controller: Accounts Receivable is to manage the accounts receivable function by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciliations, and credit control processes while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and clients. The role aims to minimize bad debt exposure, ensure compliance with SARS standards, and support efficient financial operations aligned with organizational goals.





Duties


Timely receipt and processing of supplier invoices and statements. Ensure compliance with SARS standards for all documentation. Resolve account queries promptly. Perform accurate and timely reconciliations of supplier accounts. Address discrepancies and queries on accounts within 30 days. Ensure correct ageing of accounts for reporting. Ensure overdue accounts report distributed within 2 days post-month-end. Prepare supplier accruals for month-end reporting. Assist with the implementation of a paperless payment process. Assist with onboarding of new suppliers Identify and minimize risk in the supplier payment process. Compile and distribute 60 & 90-day reports. Prepare cash forecasts, including customer collections. Ensure accurate billing and alignment with rate cards.

Skills and Experience

Grade 12 (Essential) Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a financial environment as a Credit Controller (Essential) Advanced Excel skills Strong knowledge of accounting financial principles and practices. Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
