We are looking for your expertise as a Control Systems Engineer - EPCM to provide control systems engineering expertise for mining sector projects within an EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) framework. Job Summary:

• Responsible for design, integration, and commissioning of control systems ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop control system architectures for mining operations.
• Specify and configure PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Support commissioning and start-up activities including functional testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical documentation including control philosophies, IO lists, and system specifications.
• Interface with vendors, contractors, and clients throughout project lifecycle.
• Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, and design reviews.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical / Control / Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in control systems engineering within the mining sector.
• ECSA Registration (or eligibility).
• Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Working at Heights, HIRA).
• Proven experience in EPCM project environments.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA platforms, and industrial communication protocols.
• Familiarity with mining processes and bulk material handling systems.
• Understanding of relevant standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, SANS).
