The Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage and coordinate - the human resources, finances, administration, performance and information management, environmental complaints, inspections, investigations and joint operations, and the training and capacity building exercises of the Sub-Directorate: Environmental Law Enforcement Region 3.

Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 4-year Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Environmental Management, Natural or Environmental Science, Law or a related field; A minimum of 6 years relevant post-qualification experience in environmental management; A valid (Code B) driving licence.

Recommendation
A valid Environmental Management Inspector Basic Training Course Certificate.

Manage the following: Operations and administration of the sub-directorate; Co-ordinate the law enforcement functions of the sub-directorate; Sub-directorates performance and information management; Co-ordinate/ participate in forums, training and capacity building exercises.

Remuneration
Grade A - R 612 480 per annum (OSD as prescribed)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
