Contracts Manager (Construction) - BedfordviewJob SummaryContracts ManagerLocation: BedfordviewSalary: R 900 000 to R 1 200 000 p.aOur client in the Construction industry is looking for a Contracts Manager.: Ensuring standard procedures are adhered to and any specific client requirements are taken into account.Preparing detailed long term project schedulesFostering relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliersMaterial procurement and controlsProductivity and cost monitoringSuccessfully managing multiple contracts.Ensuring that quality of work and materials comply to specificationsWork to be completed within required time framesInspiring team members to achieve high levels of productionBuilding good relations with employees and relevant role playersCo-operating well with peers and subordinatesProfessional conduct at all timesProviding constructive support to company initiativesReviewing work and ensure corrective action when requiredImplementing improvements and demonstrating initiativeConsistently complying with all company policies and proceduresEnsuring compliance to Safety, Health & Environmental Regulationso Ensuring best practices in construction methodsQualifications:o BSc/B Eng./B-Tech/National Diploma in Civil Engineeringo Registration with ECSA and/or SACPCMPExperience:o Minimum of 15 years' experience as Engineer in the Civil Construction Industryo Minimum of 5 years' experience as Contracts Manager in Civil Construction.o Have in depth experience in Roads & Earthworks (asphalt) and Civil Infrastructure Constructiono Must have a working knowledge of the OHS ACT, and Construction Regulations.o Must have the Ability to read, understand and organize construction Plans and Specificationso Must be able to manage more than one construction contracts simultaneously.o Must have a good working knowledge of CCS estimating and planning moduleso Must have Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, & Outlook)o Specific working knowledge of COLTO specificationso Knowledge and understanding of various other general conditions of contract.
