Procurement Specialist responsible for negotiating, interpreting and overseeing the execution of legal procurement documents under the guidance of a well-defined contract management process with minimum supervision. The role requires a thorough understanding of contract management processes and the ability to from a contract negotiation playbook.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements outlined by the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and under minimum supervision from management
  • Enter contract set-up details within the platform and review and administratively approve contract requests within the CLM platform's contracts workflow that follow the playbook
  • Send contracts for execution through the CLM platform or DocuSign
  • Coordinate contract term negotiations among various stakeholders, which include legal teams, compliance, and cybersecurity teams and begin to interface directly with vendors
  • Support legal, compliance, and cybersecurity processes, ensuring adherence to internal standards and external regulations
  • Follow signature guidelines and routing contracts for signatures
  • Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives
  • Train internal business units how to enter accurate contract requests.
  • Assist in tracking the contract approval and execution process, as well data collected to support the management of vendor relationships throughout the life of each Vendor contract.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Required
  • Bachelor's degree required and 2+ years of experience in procurement, contracting, and/or business operations.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of contract processes, legal drafting, contract management, procurement, and related fields
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to make prompt decisions based upon relevant facts and established processes.
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills as required
  • Detail oriented, with ability to independently organize multiple tasks and priorities, and to effectively manage workload under pressure of deadlines.
  • Solution-focused and committed to self-accountability.
  • Critical thinking skills in relation to the vendor relationship management and oversight responsibilities.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proficiency with an electronic contract lifecycle system that includes communications, tracking, and reporting functionality.
Desired
  • Familiarity with DocuSign, SharePoint, and legal vendor management software or similar system knowledge
  • Prior Fintech or SaaS experience
