Contract General Assistant - South AfricaOverviewPrepare, clean and inspect work areas and equipmentHandle and stage raw materialsSample work area(s) and equipment for contaminationSanitise drains and pipes to avoid contaminationRelated administrative tasksOperational SupportExecute production activities within established policies, practices and guidelines, as well as established quality and safety standardsOptimise own work processesIdentify gaps in current policies and proceduresFacilitate implementation of processes in own area of workInspections & VerificationsPerform visual inspections of production area(s) and equipmentPerform pre-production checks such as environmental checks, scale checks, and equipment pre-checks as per BMR, SOP and product specificationsVerify scale and measuring equipment performanceMaterial HandlingDispense, transfer, weigh and collect raw materials for processingEnsure raw materials are staged for processing, in line with requirementsProduction PreparationSet up the room and IBCs for production activitiesPrepare solutions for production activities as per SOPRoutine Support TasksClean work area(s) and equipment before and after processing of materials as per SOP and cleaning checklistPerform routine equipment checks and transfer of equipmentCollect samples of production area and equipment for testingControl contamination in area by flushing drains and pipesAssist with sorting of defected products and discard/ minimise wasteProvide information to assist with campaign preparationIdentify and report on operational problems out of specificationReporting & Record KeepingComplete batch record labelsComplete Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) sheetsPerform half-hourly inspections of production area(s)Attend shift meetingsProvide information for completion of reportsComplete and consolidate standard documentsMaintain and update records and systems as required RequirementsBackground/experienceNational Certification (N3 Engineering) with 0-2 yearsxe2x80x99 related experienceManufacturing experienceSpecific job skillsBasic technical knowledge of Pharmaceutical production processes, procedures, systems and equipment.Basic understanding of Pharmaceutical standards and compliance requirementsCompetenciesFinalising outputsFollowing proceduresTaking actionInformation gathering
