We're on the hunt for a Content Manager to support our Marketing team as a
maternity cover for 6-months
. You will manage the creative content planning for all digital channels: social media, paid media and website and support the wider marketing team and business with written content. This includes ensuring the creative direction of campaigns are in-line with brand and VM marketing direction and the digital stories are fit-for-purpose for each digital channel.
We're a fully in-office team. The position is basedat our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.
So, what will you do?
Provide input into the creative plan.
Ensure that there is a synchronized 360 content strategy across all digital channels.
Ensure the execution of the content strategy.
Ensure digital channel managers requirements for content are defined and included in the content plan
Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the content process from end-to-end.
Optimisation of content through reporting results
Experience required:
3-4 years' experience in a similar role
At least 2 years' experience as a Copywriter with a strong SEO focus
Experience in working with content management systems (i.e. Magento, Wordpress, Shopify)
Experience with web | mobile & social engagement strategies and best practices
Extensive experience in new media editorial experience or similar
Proven track record of leading content marketing campaigns
Qualification required:
Required:
National Diploma in Marketing Management or similar
Preferred:
Bachelor degree in Marketing Management, Communications, Journalism, English or related
Knowledge & skills required:
Solid knowledge of web design
Solid knowledge of social media and creative principals (80/20 rule)
Expertise with using SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement
Familiar with Magento, PhotoShop, InDesign, Salesforce, Brandwatch will be an advantage
