Consulting Electrical Engineer

Job Description
As a Consulting Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, specification, and coordination of electrical building services systems. You will work closely with Architects, other engineering disciplines, and clients to deliver projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create specifications of electrical building services, including power, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and surveys.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ensure that designs comply with relevant regulations and sustainability standards.
- Participate in project meetings and design reviews.
- Assist with mentoring Junior Engineers where applicable.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5+ years' experience in electrical design within building services consultancy.
- Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, and Amtech.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., BS, IEC, and IEE Wiring Regulations).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is desirable.
