Consultant Pathologist: Histology (Mpumalanga, Nelspruit based, 40 hours work week) Purpose of Position: To consult with the clients i.e. doctors and patients and the laboratory personnel. To manage the laboratory and establish and maintain a high-quality pathology service in line with the laboratories standard. Degree Requirements:

  • FC Path(SA)
  • HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
  • MBChB
  • M Med (Pathology)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Discuss life threatening results with clients and provide guidance
  • Continuous Education for Pathology laboratories
  • Maintain client relations to promote the image of the Laboratory
  • Marketing
  • Oversee the standard of the work performed, overall operation and administration in the laboratory
  • Promotion of Professional Standards and Expertise, Provision of Continuous Pathology/Clinical Laboratory Service: Consultation with doctors
  • Control and monitoring of results, Result verification, Reporting, Participation in Peer Group,
  • Sign-out all abnormal results according to criteria
