Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager with strong Structures/Bridge experience to join a leading organization in the civil engineering and construction sector.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage complex construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure all projects comply with SACPCMP standards, local building regulations, and health & safety requirements.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality control programs.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and site staff.
• Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Allocate resources efficiently and manage project risks proactively.
• Prepare and present regular project reports, including financial and risk assessments.
• Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the construction process.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Structures/Bridge experience.
• Relevant qualification: BSc Eng / BTech Eng / BEng / N.Dip Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr.CM).
• Minimum 5-10 years' experience in construction management, with a focus on civil projects.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and local codes.
