Responsibilities
Provide information on available raw materials and components to meet the production schedule
Create all purchase orders for allocated suppliers according to the confirmed monthly production schedule
Forward the purchase order from F&O to the supplier and order book
Confirm the receipt of the raw materials against POD and update the product receipt book
Ensure that raw materials are transferred from receiving to the flammable storeroom
Generate the picking order against the manufacturing order and allocate picking to team
Check all raw materials picked and decanted against picking order and address any inaccurate picks with the relevant team member
Ensure that all equipment and utensils to be used meet good manufacturing practices (GMP)
Blend bulk raw materials and match colours to standards
Check all bulk colour blends performed by team members to ensure standards are met
Authorise approval of bulk products to be released to production and quality control
Plan and conduct stock takes and capture results on spreadsheet
Discuss all discrepancies or queries with line manager and capture reconciled stock details on F&O once approved
Plan and conduct raw material Financial Year End stock take
Maintain product receipt book monthly
Review attendance registers and address any areas of concern
Coordinate input to payroll
Effectively manage and lead the compound team
Ensure effective stock management in the flammable stockroom.
Ensure accurate stock records are maintained.
Perform daily inspection of compound department including but not limited to PPE, health safety, machinery inspections, address any areas of concern and follow up on action plans to address.
Build and maintain effective relationships with allocated suppliers.
Send out communication to allocated suppliers on year end stock take requirements and deadlines.
Plan and communicate end of year stock take and timelines to compound team.
Ensure all workflows, SOPS and processes are adhered too.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered too
Attend monthly health and safety meetings.
Review availability of bulk raw materials and address any areas of concern with Production Supervisor
Address all incidences of non-conformance with compound team.
Ensure effective management of compound area to reduce spillages and damages.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent required.
Degree or Diploma in Production, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics an advantage.
Certification in quality management an advantage.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Compound Supervisor ore related position is required.
3 years working experience in a Cosmetic manufacturing environment an advantage.
Training of employees in material safety handling processes and safety an advantage
