This role ensures the efficient allocation of materials to meet project specifications, optimize resource usage, and support production timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and staying informed on industry advancements, the Composite Planner drives innovation and operational excellence in composite material applications.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Composite Planner plays a critical role in the production process by developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage composite materials. Key responsibilities include:
Project Collaboration and Analysis
: Work closely with design and engineering teams to interpret project blueprints and technical specifications, determining the appropriate composite materials required based on strength, durability, and cost considerations.
Material Sourcing and Procurement
: Identify and procure high-quality composite materials from reliable suppliers, ensuring availability and cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with project requirements.
Inventory Management
: Develop and maintain robust inventory systems to track composite material stock levels, ensuring sufficient supply to meet production demands without excess.
Production Planning and Scheduling
: Coordinate with production teams to schedule manufacturing processes involving composite materials, ensuring timely project delivery and adherence to deadlines.
Optimization and Waste Reduction
: Analyze material usage to minimize waste, enhance cost-effectiveness, and implement sustainable practices in composite material applications.
Quality Control and Compliance
: Monitor production processes to ensure composite materials meet industry standards and project specifications, maintaining rigorous quality control measures.
