To identify, assess and report on domestic regulatory developments and international trends with specific emphasis on prudential matters.
To collaborate on and advise, consider and consolidate cluster(s) and group views in respect of domestic and international legislation and articulate such views at industry associations.
Job Responsibilities
Research on and preparation of information notes regarding local and international regulatory developments.
Consult on, collaborate with, and advise business on local regulatory developments and international best practice with a view to mitigate regulatory risk.
Identify, define and agree on the group regulatory universe applicable to business units to mitigate risks.
Advise business of regulatory changes to identify potential impact of changes on the business.
Influence the enhancement of business processes, policies, frameworks, tools and methodologies specific to the team to benefit the business and the compliance function.
Assist in drafting and compiling submissions into and prepare executive forum packs to enable management to make informed decisions.
Ensure effective internal and external stakeholder relationships, including cross cluster engagement.
Continuous self-driven learning and staying abreast of developments - regarding business, through engagement and policy awareness.
Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example.
Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.

Compliance Institute of South Africa (CISA)
Admitted Attorney
Minimum Experience Level
3-5 years in a senior compliance/risk/governance/legal role
