LEZA Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Practitioner to join our Compliance Team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a values-driven organisation committed to upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

Purpose of the Role:



To identify, assess, monitor, and advise on regulatory compliance risks and obligations across the LEZA Group. The incumbent will support internal stakeholders through proactive compliance monitoring, advice, training, reporting, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities:



Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Conduct compliance document reviews and provide expert feedback. Develop, monitor, and report on Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMPs). Conduct in-depth compliance research and compile comprehensive reports. Deliver timely internal and external compliance reports. Facilitate training sessions and awareness initiatives on compliance matters. Review and update policies to ensure alignment with current regulations. Manage and maintain compliance platforms. Execute regular monitoring reviews and ensure appropriate follow-ups.

Qualifications and Experience Required:



A relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Compliance or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory environment. Solid understanding of South African regulatory frameworks (e.g., Insurance Act, FICA, POPIA, FAIS). Working understanding of SADC regulatory frameworks would be advantageous, in particular in relation to Botswana and Namibia. Experience with corporate governance and compliance risk frameworks. Familiarity with compliance systems and reporting tools. Strong research, analytical, and report-writing capabilities. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
