Compliance Officer Portfolio

Job Description

Our client in the Real Estate industry is currently looking for a Compliance Officer - Portfolio, in Rivonia, Sandton.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Tenant Compliance (FICA & Due Diligence): Conduct Extended FICA checks in line with legislation. Perform world checks and credit/risk screenings. Escalate risks to Regional Heads and Property Managers. Use TPN and similar systems for verification. Report findings and track compliance. OHS & Insurance Risk Management (Portfolio Level): Manage annual OHS audit schedules across the portfolio. Review inspection findings and identify key risks. Track OHS and insurance risks on MyBuildings system. Monitor risk scoring and follow up on corrective actions. Report on outstanding and completed risk interventions. Internal OHS & Compliance Administration: Maintain complete OHS files for each regional office. Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation. Support and train staff on updated H&S requirements. Liaise with government bodies and regulatory authorities. Arrange regular H&S meetings in all regions. Report monthly on incidents, injuries, near misses, and corrective actions. Conduct SHE internal audits and document non-conformances. Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Ensure contractor and client safety obligations are met. Oversee employee safety inductions. Maintain safety notice boards and documentation. Assist with emergency preparedness and response. Manage quality assurance systems and internal compliance processes. Handle after-hours compliance matters when required.
Education + Experience
Matric (Grade 12). Degree or Diploma in Safety Management. SAMTRAC certification (advantageous). 3?5 years? experience in Occupational Health, Safety & Environment. Corporate environment experience (advantageous). Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel). Good knowledge of compliance systems and reporting tools. Business Skills: Self-motivated and proactive. Strong people and communication skills. Highly reliable and confidential. Strong time management. Results-driven and professional. Able to enforce policies and procedures consistently. Personal Attributes: Honest and dependable. Positive attitude and motivated. Assertive communicator. Organised and detail oriented. Sensitive to staff and client needs. Strong leadership presence.
