Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Compliance Coordinator to take ownership of our plant-level SHEQ systems and ensure full compliance with safety, health, environmental and food safety regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing compliance standards within a fast-paced dairy production environment.

Purpose of the Job:

To coordinate and oversee the effective implementation and maintenance of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) compliance systems within the dairy production plant, ensuring all activities meet legal, regulatory, and company standards. This role safeguards the safety of employees, protects product integrity, minimizes risks and supports continuous improvement in compliance and operational excellence.

Education, experience, and competencies required:

Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in SHEQ, Environmental Health, Quality Assurance or Safety Management (Essential) Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar compliance/SHEQ role within FMCG or food/dairy manufacturing Sound understanding of OHSA, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 requirements Strong investigation, audit, risk assessment, and report writing skills Computer literate with solid MS Office and data handling/reporting experience Confident communicator with the ability to train, guide and influence across departments Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and calm under pressure

Key Performance Areas:

Ensure full compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) standards and legislation Conduct and coordinate HIRA surveys, internal audits, GMP inspections (Food Safety and Health & Safety) Maintain and improve the site's compliance documentation, procedures, and risk profile Ensure readiness for external audits and support in audit responses Drive implementation of ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015, and FSSC 22000 systems Provide training and guidance to employees on SHEQ procedures and changes to regulations Engage cross-functionally to embed compliance into operational practices Support contractor and supplier compliance processes in line with company standards Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay: R20000,00 - R22000,00 per month
