Job Description

Duties

Assist with demand creation through mobilising men both in the facilities and the community for HIV testing. Provide STS to men both in facilities and the community settings. Coordinate the implementation and the running of the MHS e.g. Men's Corners, happy hours and Men's dialogs. Assist with the tracing of index contacts and refer them to the facility for testing. Attend and support the formation and running of men support groups. Recruit men/male clients for support groups and assist in facilitating the clubs at initial stages. Provide simple and relevant HIV/TB information to male client in aa a clear convincing and age- appropriate manner. Identify psychological issues affecting treatment adherence and refer the client for professional assistance where necessary.

Education

Senior Certificate / Grade 12

Advantageous

Knowledge of HIV/TB and psychosocial challenges affecting men
