Job Description

Job Summary The Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing and Communications Department by executing digital marketing strategies, managing social media platforms, coordinating content creation, and ensuring brand consistency across all channels. This role is essential in enhancing Bidvest Protea Coin's brand visibility, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications.
Social Media Management

• Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across all social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.).
• Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to comments and messages, and escalate queries where necessary.
• Track and report on social media performance metrics and provide insights for optimization.
• Stay updated on social media trends and recommend innovative approaches to increase reach and engagement.

Content Creation & Coordination

• Assist in the creation of marketing materials including brochures, newsletters, presentations, and internal communications.
• Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to produce high-quality content.
• Maintain a content calendar aligned with marketing campaigns, events, and company milestones.

Digital Marketing Support

• Support the execution of digital campaigns including email marketing, paid advertising, and SEO initiatives.
• Assist in updating and maintaining the company website and intranet content.
• Monitor analytics and prepare monthly reports on campaign performance and ROI.

Event Support

• Assist in planning and promoting internal and external events, including corporate functions, community outreach, and sponsorship activations.
• Coordinate logistics, branding materials, and post-event communications

Administrative Duties

• Maintain marketing databases, media libraries, and contact lists.
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and budget tracking for marketing activities.
• Support the Marketing and Communication Manager with ad hoc tasks and departmental coordination.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a marketing or social media role.
• Proven experience managing corporate social media accounts and digital campaigns.
• Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and CMS platforms.
