We are looking for a Communication and Graphic Design Practitioner to create and develop internal and external communication content that enhances our internal communications culture and aligns with our culture and branding guidelines.

Our ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, have 3xe2x80x935 years of experience in similar roles, and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Corporate Communication practices. A Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in Corporate Communication, Marketing and/or Journalism, coupled with a qualification in Graphic Designing is required. The candidate must have an excellent command of the English language and must be able to produce high-quality written content.

Responsibilities

• Translate job briefs into content and design concepts
• Design graphic content for both digital and print platforms
• Contribute to the entire process of written content creation for various channels and applications xe2x80x94 from writing and editing to proofreading and publishing.
• Devise the most effective cross-platform content strategies for communication campaigns
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the communication campaigns using relevant tools, such as surveys and uptake analytics and incorporate findings going forward
• Ensure that quality is retained on all communication platforms carrying Samancor Chrome content, including its website, applicable social media platforms, presentations, newsletters and various internal communication channels.
• Organise and oversee the production of below the line branding/marketing materials
• Create short videos and Gifs for various digital applications

Skills and Abilities:

• Proven strong written and verbal communication skills, journalistic experience desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
• Understanding of various communication channels and required content and style to ensure results from these.
• Experience writing content for various platforms, including websites, press releases, newsletters.
• Experience managing and overseeing creative projects, including working with external providers.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of dealing with issues or crises.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree/National Diploma in Corporate Communication coupled with Graphic Design qualification
• 3-5 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant and trackable experience
• Graphic Designing Portfolio with Adobe Software Creative Suite projects, including work in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience in creating videos/Editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva or similar
