Commissioning Project ManagementLocation: MidrandDuration: 3 monthsJob Mission:- To manage the commissioning team and demonstrate operability and reliability of the plant to ensure project deliverables are compliant with user requirement specification and the design and control philosophy.Key Performance Areas (summary of functional outputs ):- Supervise the delivery of the commissioning operations and output for the unit- Manage and harmonise the interface and integration of systems, disciplines and plant- Manage and drive all commissioning and optimisation of the plant to ensure proof of operability and reliability prior to and after commissioning- Manage and resolve commissioning plant risks and incident investigations- Manage team performance, development of skills, knowledge and capabilities- Manage communication and relationships with key stakeholders- Manage compliance with all site related governance and safety, health, environment, risk and quality (SHERQ) requirementsFunctional Outputs- Supervise the delivery of the commissioning operations and output for the unit by:o Managing the provision of a commissioning and advisory service to the project team.o Setting targets for the commissioning of various items of plant, in consultation with the project planning team.o Developing project commissioning plans and measure and report on activities against these plans.o Reviewing and authorising commissioning programs, commissioning work instructions and commissioning procedures.o Evaluating commissioning tasks and ensuring the timely allocation of staff, equipment and other resources to these tasks.o Identifying, managing and treating potential commissioning, project and contract risks and consequences of non-conformance to procedures and instructions.o Managing the compilation and approval of commissioning technical reports.o Managing conformance to commissioning practices in accordance with standards, procedures and relevant legislation.o Determining upcoming activities to highlight, coordinating and delegating the required commissioning activities.o Managing and resolving required contractor access for commissioning and common resource utilisation.o Supervising and reporting on the optimal collaboration of the commissioning programme sequence to achieve the integrated baseline schedule.o Developing system integration plans to manage and resolve potential commissioning interfaces and integration conflicts.o Supervising the integration of all plant related isolations in preparation for permit to work and to ascertain that major project milestone dates are met.o Planning, conducting and reporting on commissioning tests and ensuring the coordination of safe commissioning of the units and systems.- Manage and drive all commissioning and optimisation of the plant to ensure proof ofoperability and reliability prior to and after commissioning by:o Developing a commissioning scope of work with inputs from the relevant departments.o Managing alignment of commissioning program to production plan.o Determining milestones for critical activities in accordance with the master plan.o Influencing plant commissioning procedures and process flows detailed to activity level.o Managing, coordinating and reporting on the implementation of the commissioning plan.o Communicating and monitoring compliance with all commissioning procedures and ensuring that the plant conforms to set standards when commissioned, identifying and managing non-conformances.o Initiating and reporting on process simulation and conditional testing.Minimum Qualification- B-Degree or B-Tech in Built environment / Commerce / Human Sciences at NQF 7 with 360 Credits
