Job Description
We have a position available for a Commercial Manager with citrus and/or grapes experience. You will be responsible for overseeing shipping and air freight logistics. Candidates from Gauteng or Limpopo will be considered for a hybrid role.Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Relevant Degree
- Proven experience in the fresh produce industry is essential.
- Experience with shipping and air freight is necessary.
- Strong knowledge of citrus and grape export processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Pastel, Palbroker, QX, and Sage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Manage the unloading and composition of shipping freight, specifically citrus and grapes.
- Coordinate with producers, transport companies, and export logistics providers.
- Ensure efficient and timely delivery of fresh produce.
- Maintain strong relationships with producers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee all aspects of the export process, including documentation, compliance, and customs procedures.
- Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Manage budgets and control costs related to shipping and logistics.
