Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Commercial Leadership
Design and implement a robust commercial strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform decision-making and drive growth.
Set ambitious revenue and profitability targets, supported by data-driven financial and retention plans.
Sales and Market Development
Lead and motivate the sales team across regional territories to exceed targets consistently.
Oversee client acquisition, distribution strategies, and relationship management with key partners.
Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.
Operational and Product Oversight
Collaborate with product and technical teams to refine offerings and ensure market fit.
Contribute to pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
Ensure optimal resource allocation
Leadership and Team Development
Build, mentor, and retain a high-performance sales team.
Implement training programmes, set clear KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Financial and Risk Management
Develop and manage commercial budgets in line with revenue objectives.
Monitor financial performance, implement cost-control measures, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain strong internal and external relationships -- from cross-functional teams to suppliers and regulatory bodies.
Represent the business at industry events, strengthening brand reputation and network influence.
Requirements

  • A track record of success in sales leadership, commercial management, or strategic business development, preferably within agriculture or FMCG.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, pricing strategy, and product lifecycle management.
  • A people-first approach with proven experience in team coaching and leadership.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
