We're seeking a Legal Counsel to provide first-line legal support and guidance across all business units and go-to-market activities in the region. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align legal advice with South Africa's strategic priorities, ensuring scalable and consistent legal outcomes. You'll also support international cross-border initiatives, working in tandem with our global legal team to manage legal risks in accordance with our policies and controls. As a key contributor, you'll mentor colleagues in our Legal Service Centre, offering oversight and acting as an escalation point. This is an exciting opportunity to influence legal strategy and drive business success in a collaborative, high-impact environment.
This is a hybrid role, based out of our Johannesburg office 3 days a week.

We're seeking a Legal Counsel to provide high-quality, timely legal support across all business operations in these regions, with a strong emphasis on go-to-market strategies and legal compliance. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with international legal colleagues on cross-border initiatives, ensuring a consistent approach to legal delivery worldwide and effective execution of strategic outcomes at scale. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex technology-focused agreements and other legal documents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence legal strategy and drive business success in a collaborative, high-impact environment.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a candidate with strong commercial and technology legal experience and a proven track record of delivering commercially sound legal solutions to complex matters. You must have excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to operate unsupervised while consistently producing high-quality deliverables. Excellent project management skills and the ability to systematically apply lessons learned are essential. You should demonstrate effective collaboration in a multi-territory legal context, analyse legal and commercial issues, and provide clear explanations of legal matters with relevant commercial advice to businesses. The ability to embrace, cope with, and manage change at pace with enthusiasm in a fast-moving and complex environment is crucial. We are looking for someone with the drive and determination to deliver outstanding results and valuable outcomes, as well as being a strong and resilient influencer.
