Qualification required:

Skills and experience required:

2 - 3 years experience in a similar management position.
People management experience.
Experience on SAP or Syspro would be advantageous.
Experience in commercial costing, operational finance support and reporting.
Knowledge of ABC costing, Bill of Materials, pricing strategies and costing principles.
Knowledge of supply chain and logistics department.
Experience with commercial and contract law.
Experience in a production, manufacturing environment is non-negotiable.

Job description:

Reports to the Executive
Provide commercial support and perspective into the operations and performance of the Operating Unit.
Work closely with the manufacturing team to better understand production costs and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
Analyse the financial performance of the business unit and to make recommendations based on the findings and outcomes of the analysis.
Provide commercial support to the sales and customer teams.
Monthly and annual operational financial reporting.
Budgeting and forecasting.
Prepare the annual five-year strategic and business plan, latest forecast and report on performance against it on a monthly basis.
Identify strategic and growth opportunities.
Staff development and management.
Customer pricing.
Profitability analysis.
Product costing.
Due diligence and feasibility assessments on new projects.
KPI's.
Data and information management.
Contract management.
