Job Title: Commercial Energy Sales Specialist - Battery Storage Expert

The purpose of this role is to generate revenue by driving new business growth and maximizing sales through existing clients in the field of Commercial Solar Installations with a particular focus on Battery Storage. This position requires strong technical knowledge in the industry.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Minimum Matric with added advantage of a Certification, Diploma/Degree in a technical engineering.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Solar Energy and Battery Storage.
Experience:
  • 3 - 5 years of proven Sales & Business Development experience, specifically within the Battery Storage / Energy Sector.
  • A solid track record of consistently achieving sales targets of a specified value.
  • Previous experience in selling high-value products/solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales business plans.
Responsibilities:

Account Management (40%)
  • Maximize business opportunities with existing key customers, particularly in the realm of Commercial Solar and Battery Storage.
  • Manage and nurture existing client relationships.
  • Ensure the availability and delivery of technical support.
  • Provide updates on product changes, including customer education.
  • Meet established sales targets.
New Business (30%)
  • Generate and cultivate a client base, as well as a pipeline of potential customers.
  • Build and maintain industry networks.
  • Engage proactively with potential customers through methods such as cold calling.
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations.
  • Successfully close sales deals.
  • Expand market share by consistently promoting the Company's brand.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets.
Administration (20%)
  • Prepare comprehensive sales reports for budget meetings.
  • Create and deliver quotations to clients.
  • Maintain and update the client database.
Professionalism (10%)
  • Exhibit strong time management skills.
  • Communicate effectively with external clients and internal staff, including telephone, face-to-face meetings, and email correspondence.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and respect for the team, tasks, and the company's code of conduct.
  • This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
