The Role: Commercial Lines - Claims Handler
You will manage end-to-end administration of commercial claims, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery. Working closely with clients, brokers, and underwriters, you'll play a key role in maintaining strong relationships and efficient claims processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and finalise commercial claims from instruction to settlement
- Apply policy terms and conditions accurately
- Maintain records and update task management systems
- Liaise with clients, brokers, and underwriters
- Conduct follow-ups to keep stakeholders informed
- Generate management reports and identify fraud risks
- Ensure compliance with FAIS, POPIA, FSCA, and TCF principles
- Minimum 3 years' experience handling commercial short-term insurance claims
- Solid knowledge of commercial policy wording and claims procedures
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to communicate professionally with clients, brokers, and internal teams
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work under pressure
- Experience with relevant systems and regulatory frameworks is essential
