My client is looking for a Collections Supervisor (Pre-legal) to lead and motivate a dynamic collections team, ensuring effective debt recovery and exceptional stakeholder engagement.
As the Collections Supervisor (Pre-legal), you will plan, lead, and coordinate the daily operations of the Pre-Legal Collections team. Your focus will be on ensuring efficient credit control activities, resolving customer queries, and reducing bad debt through proactive engagement.
You'll build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers while driving process improvements and team excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Collections Leadership

• Oversee daily operations of the Pre-Legal Collections team.
• Plan and coordinate workloads, set performance priorities, and manage debtors' trackers.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, follow up on non-payments, and hand over delinquent accounts.

Process & Systems Optimization

• Drive process improvements to enhance the credit control framework.
• Ensure accurate and timely deployment of SMS and email campaigns.
• Support system development projects and quality control activities.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through open communication.
• Resolve escalated queries efficiently and ensure accurate account status updates.

People Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Pre-Legal Controllers.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage leave schedules, and support recruitment.
• Foster accountability, growth, and well-being within the team.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Matric
Credit Management 1 - 3 or equivalent
Advanced Excel skills
Minimum 2 years as a Team Lead / Supervisor in Pre-Legal Collections
Minimum 3 years as a Pre-Legal Collections Controller
