Job Summary The purpose of the position is to implement the Cold Store operational plan, manage, oversee the Cold Store day-to-day operations, maintenance control, and inventory of equipment which includes managing/overseeing health & safety, manage & monitor revenue, expenses and preparation of budgets by investing in personal development, driving performance excellence and demonstrating exemplary leadership behaviors. Minimum requirements: NQF level 6 Diploma in supply chain, management, or logistics 20 years working experience in the logistics environment Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in a management role within a logistics industry Legal Requirements: Valid drivers licence and own transport Clear criminal and medical checks Working Conditions: Required to work in low temperatures (sub-zero) Working long hours and weekends Working with heights Knowledge and Skills: Health and Safety Act Basic technical understanding of equipment (material handling) Understanding of basic maintenance Knowledge about all the Food Safety Management Systems Management of people MS Office Financial control and reporting Hazardous chemical Reporting Skills Mobile racking.
