Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, vibrant and creative Coding and Robotics Teacher to introduce and integrate Coding and Robotics into the Pre-School CAPS curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds, spark curiosity, and help learners take their first steps into the world of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons on Coding and Robotics.
Use visual programming tools, online platforms and programmable robots to teach core concepts.
Support the development of computational thinking and digital literacy in young learners.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
Monitor learner progress, assess performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain the computer lab and ensure hardware/software functionality.
Requirements:
A recognised teaching qualification (Pre-School).
A certificate/diploma in Computer Studies or related field (advantageous).
Previous experience teaching computers or coding, with solid computer literacy.
Understanding of basic coding concepts (e.g., variables, control structures, functions).
Understanding of foundational robotics (e.g. programming, design, basic mechanics).Adaptable, nurturing and creative teaching style.
Commitment to inclusivity, recognising the diverse backgrounds of learners.
Police Clearance Certificate & Clearance Certificates for Sexual Offender Register and
Child Protection
