Fix Term contract: Code 14 Driver - Milk Tanker & Reefer Truck

Purpose of the Role:

To collect milk from designated farms and deliver it safely to the production plant, as well as transport finished goods using a refrigerated (reefer) truck to customers over long distances. The driver will ensure that all products are handled in line with company quality, food safety, and cold chain standards, while maintaining accurate records and vehicle compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect milk from approved farmers and deliver to the processing plant according to schedule. Ensure milk collected meets company quality standards and remains secure and hygienic during transport. Accurately record the litres collected and proactively communicate any potential shortfalls or issues to prevent production downtime. Transport finished dairy products in a refrigerated vehicle to customers, ensuring cold chain integrity and on-time delivery. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, monitoring vehicle condition and temperature at all times. Report and act on any maintenance or safety concerns immediately. Adhere strictly to all Health, Safety, and Food Safety protocols and legal transport regulations. Follow load plans and route schedules to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Practice fuel-efficient ("green band") driving and maintain professional conduct at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification. Valid

Code 14 driver's licence with PRDP

5 to 10 years' experience

environment. Strong understanding of

food safety, hygiene standards, and cold chain logistics.

Pay: R9500,00 - R10000,00 per month

Experience:

driving tanker or code 14 trucks: 5 years (Preferred) tanker trucks/refrigerated trucks within a Dairy: 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:

code 14 licence with PRDP (Preferred)
