Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Code 10 Driver with a valid DGP to join our logistics/transport team in Prospecton, Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods, including hazardous materials, ensuring timely deliveries, and compliance with all relevant transport regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 Driver's License
- Valid Dangerous Goods Permit (DGP)
- Minimum 3 years driving experience with Code 10 vehicles
- Sound knowledge of routes in Durban and surrounding areas
- Ability to read and follow delivery schedules and manifests
- Must be physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading should it be required.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Operate a Code 10 vehicle to deliver goods locally and regionally as required
- Transport hazardous materials in compliance with DGP regulations
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or damages
- Maintain accurate trip sheets and delivery documentation
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transit
- Adhere to all road safety rules and company policies
- Assist with loading and offloading of goods when necessary
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics coordinators
- Report incidents, delays, or route changes promptly.
