Established Company is looking to employ a Developer with Cobol experience to join their dynamic team on a contracting basis.
Description
- Development using Cobol
- Database Management, knowledge of the databases used with CC&B, typically Oracle DB
- Handle changes during migration from COBOL to Java
- Accurately interpret legacy code for conversion
- Use Java to convert business logic from COBOL to Java (Java EE frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.)
- Matric / Grade 12
- Relevant IT Qualification and Certifications
- Solid experience using Cobol and understanding COBOL syntax, structures, and logic to accurately interpret legacy code for conversion.
- Familiarity with Oracle CC&B, particularly version 2.6 or similar versions
- Java Development experience, proficiency in Java, Java EE frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
