Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 certificate
A Registered Nursing qualification
A minimum of 2 years' experience in Medical Scheme administration with focused experience in the Managed HealthCare environment
Sound knowledge of the Medical Aid Industry, Scheme Rules & Regulations, ISO and other related legislation
Computer literacy and exposure to both the MIP and Medware system will be an added advantage
Be able to develop a training needs analysis in line with our Performance Management System and ensure training interventions accordingly
Be able to transfer skills and knowledge
Develop and maintain Work Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
Effective and accurate recording of Performance discussions with all Coaches
Train and ensure adherence to the Quality Management System
Compile quality stats and e-mail to coachees on a weekly basis using MS Office in order to keep consultants informed of their quality/progress/shortcomings.
Monitor service levels of all assigned processes using report/MS office in order to increase the service levels.
Compile/collate/maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instruction/processes using own knowledge and experience/job descriptions/group functions/legislation/MS Word in order to formalise group functions/ensure standardised work method.
Be available to coachees on the floor as per group arrangement in order to ensure that the coachees knowledge and skills stay current.
Liaise with coaches from other groups on a regular basis in order to resolve queries/maintains LA's and a positive working relationship between various groups.
Duties and Responsibilities
Identifying and analysing areas for coaching in order to assist the development of coachees
Establishing coaching goals and derive coaching plan to assist coaches to reach the required standards
Facilitate Coaching sessions in order to give coaches feedback on performance as per set goals
Providing training, guidance and support for new and current clinical consultants
Assessing the quality of the consultants work output in order to identify development needs
Assist in the maintenance of the Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions to formalize group functions and ensure standardized work methods
Ensuring constant feedback on progress to consultants by regularly updating them on their quality stats
Maintain service level agreements for all assigned processes
Assisting with Escalations specific to Hospital Benefit Management department
