1x CNC Programmer /Setter - Milling

Area: Wadeville (Gauteng)

CNC Programmer /Setter - Milling

• Qualified Artisan
• Programming on Mastercam and on the machine
• Fanuc controls (Heidenhain will be an advantage)
• 4 to 5 Axis

Responsibility

• Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and
• Programming mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part
• Analyse drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed
• Set up and operate CNC equipment as
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometres and callipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced
• Read Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within specified
• Wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules at all times
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
• To ensure all work pieces that are produced conform & are ready for the next operation, this includes fettling, de-burring, etc.
• Work on computerised CAD system
